Description
The Space
This modern apartment is located in a quiet rural area about 3 miles from the Town of Lebanon VA, 20 miles from Abingdon VA, 40 minutes to the NASCAR Bristol Motor Speedway, 20 miles from the Clinch River Recreation area; 5 miles from Hidden Valley Lake, 35 miles from Bristol VA/TN. Hundreds of trail miles for hiking. Lakes for fishing. Bring your own food! If you agree in advance to bring your own bed sheets and bath towels, we will refund $5 USD per night!
Guest Access
This apartment is on first floor. The driveway and parking area is gravel, not paved, but the walkways to the apartment are concrete with no steps. If wheelchair access is required, we can arrange for you to park on a paved area with paved and clear access to the apartment. The entrance to the apartment is private. There is a small (2") step up at the entrance door.
Interaction with Guests
We live in the attached house and are available whenever needed. If we are away, we make arrangements with another Witness to care for whatever comes up.
Other Things to Note
The local congregation needs help working their 625 square mile rural territory. The Kingdom Hall is 3 minutes drive time away. This presents a great opportunity to enjoy a relaxing (or invigorating) vacation and help the local congregation at the same time!
The Neighborhood
The local Kingdom Hall is just a 3-minute drive away. We live in a beautiful hilly region of Southwest Virginia. The rolling hills remind many of Ireland. Cattle and sheep farms populate the county, including next door to our house. While the Town of Lebanon is small, there is a Super Walmart for shopping and two other grocery stores, and several fast food restaurants. Excellent dining is just a 20-35 minute drive in several directions. Most importantly, the area around your apartment is super QUIET. Buchanan and Dickenson Counties adjoin our county and both are "unassigned territories." Drive time to the closest edge of either county is about 35 minutes.
Getting Around
There is no public transportation of any kind in the area. Your personal vehicle is your sole method of travel.
