Description

The Space

Our home is part of a 220 acre estate where you will enjoy sweeping views of pristine mountains, canyons and meadows from the living area and three of the bedrooms. Abundant windows coupled with vaulted ceilings create a bright and airy atmosphere throughout the house. Enjoy stunning sunrises, sunsets, and starry skies.

Along with the bedrooms, the lower basement has the most comfortable 11-foot couch you’ve ever been on, all in a game room setting. Walk through the door and there is an old MGM/Art Deco inspired theater room, complete with an 80” TV and surround sound system. Need snacks? A small fridge is complete with waters as well as Pepsi and A&W products. The snack bar includes various candies, nuts and Red Vines. And enjoy popcorn in the provided machine.

The backyard is completely fenced in with multiple gateways to the surrounding area, and has a peaceful babbling brook (only in the warmer months), custom stonework, a built-in gas fire pit and 12 blue, fold-up Adirondack chairs for your comfort.

Guest Access

The entire home is there for your enjoyment. There is a door leading to the front porch, a door leading to the garage, and a back door leading out to the back porch and backyard area. The downstairs master has French doors leading out to the front porch.

Interaction with Guests

Should you require any assistance or have any questions, we are always available via phone, and we are just a short drive away should any problems arise.

Other Things to Note

Please note that this is a mountain retreat. I'm sure you will agree that sharing a home with mice, squirrels and weasels is disconcerting. We therefore request that doors be closed at all times. (unless in use, of course). All windows have screens and can be left open.

The Neighborhood

Stunning mountain views in a more remote area of the Wasatch Range, yet within 30 minutes drivetime to nearby Midway, Heber City, Park City and downtown Provo.

Getting Around

It is recommended to rent a vehicle as our home is nowhere close to public transportation.

House Rules

All cars MUST be parked on the driveway or down at the clubhouse. No cars are allowed on the street at any time. Please note that the community is very strict about this policy. Any towing violations are the sole responsibility of car owner.

There is a community noise ordinance in effect after 10 pm, which means no music or loud talking/laughing outside.

Note that the home is not child/baby proof. If you wish to have a friend or two over for a visit, that is fine, but no overnight guests, please.

***Unauthorized guests will be charged $75.00 per person, per day/night or asked to leave at our discretion.
*** In accordance with the Utah Indoor Clean Air Act: There is absolutely NO SMOKING indoors or within 25 feet of the building. Should you wish to smoke, please do so responsibly outside, at least 25 feet from any door or window. And kindly leave no trace. We do have cigarette buckets provided on the outside decks for disposal. Any smoking in or near the home will constitute a $2000 cleaning fee.
***Utah is NOT a 420 friendly state. Should the police be called to the house by the residents in the community over this issue, mandatory jail time of one year and a hefty fine will be imposed by Wasatch County and the State of Utah. We want you to have a nice vacation. Don’t ruin it for yourself.
***LIABILITY*** The residence is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities.
***The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
***WATER & SEPTIC*** This is mountain living. Guests agree not to flush anything other than the septic-friendly toilet paper supplied. No feminine products or "flushable" wipes or other wet wipes should be flushed at any time. We provide plenty of waste baskets, the toilet is not one of them.
***Thank you for NOT putting food debris, grease, coffee grounds, etc. down the sinks. This puts a damper on your stay – for both of us – as plumbers are not always at the ready in the mountain area.
***FIREPLACE*** We have two wood burning fireplaces inside: there is a wood burning stove on the main level, and a fireplace in the downstairs master bedroom.
***You are welcome to bring your own wood, or, if available, you can use our supply located across the driveway. We cannot guarantee cut wood is always available. Never leave unattended.
***CANDLES & OPEN FLAME DEVICES: No open flame devices (tabletop, fireplaces, etc.) may be used on the property. Candles must be supervised at all times. Guest assumes all liability for any damage to the property or personal injury as a result of violating this rule. Fire danger is extremely high here in the mountains.
***UPON LEAVING*** We ask three things:
1. Wash/Clean any dishes, appliances, utensils, etc. used by Guest and return the kitchen to a similar cleanliness/condition as it was upon entering the residence. All Hexclad pots, pans and lids, as well as all Zwilling knives, must be hand washed. The rest can just be loaded in the dishwasher.
2. Please remove all sheets from any beds slept in and place on the floor. We know accidents happen, and we prefer to treat any stains ourselves so as not to permanently ruin the sheets.
3. Please place all trash bags in the black trash can at the end of the driveway.
