The Neighborhood
Monte Sacro is a very popular area for its green spaces, it is picturesque and lively, far from the chaos of the city but well connected and close to the centre. The residential area of Monte Sacro is built around the tree-lined banks of the Aniene, a river crossed by the centuries-old castle-style Ponte Nomentano and bordered by a cycle path. The verdant Parco delle Valli, crisscrossed by paths, has a playground and a running track. The area is full of pizzerias, pastry shops, bakeries, wine bars and local shops.
Getting Around
The location is strategic and you have many options for getting around. You can use the subway (line B1, Conca d'Oro or Jonio stops), buses (lines 60, 90, 82, 338 and others) or the train (lines FL1, FL3, R, FL2). Via Nomentana is a main artery that connects Montesacro to the center of Rome.
