Description
The Space
This large two story home/house has various common areas so you can enjoy. The porch up front or covered patio in the back yard. Or on the breezeway porch where we are introducing balcony gardening of veggies and herbs along with some tubers. This area is semi private since our permanent residents live here on the second floor.
Guest Access
You are welcome to watch tv in the living room, mingle with others in any area that is available and or socialize on the front porch or patio. If you desire to use the main kitchen, you may. But you must make sure you clean up after yourself so others can also enjoy the space.
Interaction with Guests
My husband and I are available during the winter months for sure and most of the rest of the year. This is our main residence so you will see us at times during our comings and goings.
We love our brotherhood and we'd love to get to know you. Not a requirement to mingle with us if time and agendas are top priority in your schedule. But we are familiar with the area if you have questions.
Other Things to Note
We meet at Bethel as the Guaynabo Group for service on Saturdays if you desire to experience preaching in English here in our local territory. The 3rd Saturday of each month we meet at the Bayamon English Congregation.
Every guest room has a lock and key for privacy and security. Though the front door can be unlocked, we recommend it's kept closed. The outer gates MUST be locked at all times. This is inner city after all.
The Neighborhood
We are in the very convenient area where crossroads just happen to be very convenient for traveling the rest of the island. Yes, very commercial by day, hospital at end of our street; all sorts of specialists offices all around us. Eateries, restaurants, bakeries, small bodegas (small neighborhood marts...expensive). Better choices of larger supermarkets like ECONO or SuperMax, banks, gas stations, laundromats, Drug stores and a bonus for those who really like to get the flavor of the neighborhood... The Urban Train "Tren Urbano" just a block away!
Getting Around
Best way to travel is a rental car. If not an option, The Urban Train ( Tren Urbano) is around the corner for 16 stops in five main areas like Hato Rey, Rio Piedras, San Juan, Bayamon and Cupey. Bus transfers available from different train stations. Be aware all are not fast nor always reliable. Then last but not least, UBER is the best choice.
